We are seeking a self-motivated, responsible and experienced individual to support species conservation through local capacity building and strengthening WildAct’s approach to address the illegal wildlife trade in Vietnam. You will work closely with the Technical Adviser and other conservation partners, working to facilitate the first ever Combating Wildlife Trade course for master students in Vietnam. You will contribute logistical expertise and technical supports, working on the coordination of the course whilst enabling WildAct’s commitment to fulfill our mission to inspire, motivate and empower society and individuals to engage in the science-based conservation of threatened species and ecosystems.

You will be experienced in project development and implementation. Your position will influence and lead on WildAct’s engagement with academic staff at the university of Vinh - who is our main partner for this local capacity building project, together with other leading wildlife conservation NGOs in Vietnam.

This role will require working independently and in a small team, including with international staff and partners. You will be expected to communicate professionally by emails, skype, and phone call. In addition, you will explore opportunities for further collaboration and fundings. The role will require domestic travel to meet project partners.

As a crucial member of the team, you will be expected to become involved in all aspects of WildAct’s conservation programmes and to encourage the use of best practices to ensure the delivery the project’s goals.
